4. Oktober bis 3. November 2001
Eröffnung 3. Oktober 2001 19 Uhr

KONCERT (Teil der Ausstellung)
4. Oktober um 21 Uhr: Ed Osborn /Robin Hayward

Ed Osborn (USA)
Ed Osborn presents several new sound installations in the show air driver at Sparwasser in October. The kinetic nature of these pieces provides a kind of living presence within the exhibition space. The installations are playfully focused on the gallery-windows: knocking and vibrating the glass, bridging with sound the border space of the gallery, and producing a sharp call for attention to the street outside. The works demonstrate a visceral sense of space, aurality, and motion combined with a precise economy of materials.

The recipient of many awards including a Guggenheim Fellowship, Ed Osborn has shown extensively in the United States, Canada, Australia and Europe. His sound-based artworks take many forms including installation, sculpture, radio, video, performance, and public projects. Ed Osborn has been brought to Berlin through the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program.

...elektronic music. Initiating the club "Schweiz"in Marienstrasse 1 in Berlin-Mitte, their electronic sound works are already known on the Berlin art scene.

Kelly Davis(USA),
...
lives & workds in Tokyo & Berlin. He is doing both sonic & visual work. His work deals with the subtleties and complexities of the nature of perception. Davis has had concerts and exhibits in the states, japan, Germany, Mexico, Holland, Spain, Fnland, China, Africa & Ecuador. With a background in physics, his installations often explore what light and sound is, and how we perceive or don't perceive it, in what appears to be a "no-question-no-answer-test".

"POP POISONED POETRY"
T.Raumschmiere
Patrick Munch
Tom de Toys

in Z-BAR Bergstrasse 2
by Sparwasser HQ round the corner

Miss Tigra

"POP POISONED POETRY" is a collaboration between Miss Tigra (danish poetry-performer, writer and singer) and T.Raumschmiere (the man behind the Berlin underground-label Shitkatapult), where he with his melancolic dusty, crispy and sponky sounds is putting electrical power to the droning voice of Miss Tigra.

However this evening the poet in the striped fur coat will stand alone on stage, but she´ll bring us the sound from the T.Raum-boy to present us their world of soundscapes, created together in a east-berlin backyeard over milchcaffe´s and future-visions.
