Ed Osborn (USA)/ AIR DRIVER

The exhibition AIR DRIVER at Sparwasser HQ presents several new sound installations by artist Ed Osborn. The kinetic nature of these pieces creates a living presence within the exhibition space. The installations are playfully focused on the gallery-windows: knocking and vibrating the glass, bridging the border space of the gallery with sound, and sending a sharp call for attention to the street outside. The works demonstrate a visceral sense of space, aurality, and motion, combined with a precise economy of materials.

The recipient of many awards, including a Guggenheim Fellowship, Ed Osborn has shown extensively in the United States, Canada, Australia, and Europe. His sound-based artworks take many forms, including: installation, sculpture, radio, video, performance, and public projects. The DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program brings Ed Osborn to Berlin.
