in Z-BAR CINEMA, BERGSTRASSE
2, BERLIN MITTE,
SATURDAY MAY THE 26TH, AT
10 PM
within the frame of our "dream
operator" S P A R W A S S E R H Q presents:
4 experimental films (16 mm)
by the Danish artist
JESPER FABRICIUS
The films being shown are:
"And he told the worm, you are
my mother and my sister" 1990 15 min.
"Secession" 1995 10 min.
"Architecture" 1999 10 min.
"Village churches"1999,
3 min
We are happy to present a new screening
of moving images, seen from a new perspective. After having shown
digital video, which is based on a mass-/new-media reality, these
films function in the old world of physicality and fine art (beauty,
still life, nudes). The 16 mm films by Jesper Fabricius are so
unique due to the obsession of processing life - to the extend
of abstraction. Not unlike Man Ray the artist has a particular
fascination not only of his motif, but also the light and chemistry
of the film material itself. Real experimental film.
